About

Hello & Welcome!

My name is Rachel & I believe that stress management and inner balance is your greatest asset in the modern world.

The key objective of Kinesiology is balancing stress (past, present or future), consciously and sub-consciously, so that you can create from your best energy. This includes your software, like your beliefs, thoughts, and emotions, and how your mind processes information, as well as your hardware, such as your physiology or nervous system & how this interacts with your life to make the path to your goals faster, easier & more possible, or the opposite.

Whilst modern life can have many opportunities and be very fun and fulfilling, but it can also have more unhealthy stress, demands & high costs, especially if you add navigating small and big change in the mix. With Kinesiology clients, it can be common that there is multiple overlapping cycles of conflicting change and learning processes, which can easily cause normal garden variety nervous systems to misfire and process, or not process, information in unhelpful ways. Kinesiology can be so valuable when you are busy as a typical cost of a fast pace of life is low presence, which limits integration, learning and insight, not to mention you might be advancing some skills at creating unhealthy patterns and challenges faster and with more complexity when you’re in survival mode. People pleasing, not delegating, low boundaries, burn out, saying yes to everything or anyone?

Kinesiology also gives access to your subconscious mind and what might be out of your awareness. Since 80-90% or more of processing and can be out of conscious awareness and there is more communication from your body to your brain (bottom-up) then from your brain to your body (top-down), this is a significant point of difference. Even your best most aware self, cannot continuously out action, out plan, out feel or outthink a survival state & your energy bank, especially if overwhelm and burn out blurs your vision and your ability to see straight. As another hurdle, you may be convinced there’s “no problem”, “I’m fine”, “It’s all fine” – as a touch of defensiveness, tension, denial, passivity (with what really matters) and an overprotective guarded nervous system enter the cycle, often until an implosion or explosion tipping point. This can be loud, dramatic, fast, and obvious or more silent, gradual, as burn out, relationship and health consequences creep in. Here, Kinesiology assists to reorganise the interaction between thoughts, feelings and behaviours with your physiology to create inner balance and the energy you need to point you in your desired direction of change.

Related to Kinesiology, some of my qualifications include an Honours in Psychology (Macquarie University), Diploma of Kinesiology and a Diploma of Mind-Body Medicine, Advanced Yoga Teacher Training (500 hours) & I’m currently completing a Masters in Science in Coaching Psychology (Sydney Uni). I am most interested in people, change and business, both adapting and responding to change (stress) or creating change (goals), and how this intersects with wellness related to stress, relationships, and performance, in life and professionally.
